Kentucky School Districts Adopt Bridge to Algebra
December 5, 2006
The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Green River Regional Educational Cooperative (GRREC) has purchased Carnegie Learning's Bridge to Algebra curriculum for seventh graders in seven districts. The $300,000 purchase includes subsequent plans to implement the company's Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II programs for these students over five years, providing a full math program that will follow them through to high school graduation. The purchase was made, in part, with funds from the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (Gear Up) program. The Gear Up program provides six-year grants to states and partnerships to provide services to underserved middle and high schools.
