Aethon Redefines Hospital Asset Utilization
At the HIMSS 2007 Annual Conference, Aethon announced the general availability of the first mobile autonomous asset utilization solution designed to locate, deliver and recover hospital equipment. The solution features HOMER (Aethon's RFID-based asset tracking system) and TUG (the company's asset delivery and recovery system).  CEO Aldo Zini believes that the real value of the system comes "when the equipment is automatically recovered and delivered to the location where it's needed, when it's needed." The two robotic systems work together to enable hospitals to improve staff efficiency, increase asset utilization, decrease equipment rentals and improve regulatory compliance. Plan4Demand Revenue up 32% in 2006
At the company's annual meeting, Plan4Demand CEO, Lisa M. Carnegie Learning Enters Higher Education Math Market

Governor's Alternative Energy Plan Looks Good to Plextronics
Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell announced a new Energy Independence Strategy last week, which would provide $850 million to spur alternative energy development.  Although it still needs to be approved by the Legislature and the Public Utility Commission, the plan seems to bode well for alternative energy companies to locate significant operations in Pennsylvania.  In a Pittsburgh Business Times article, Andy Hannah, CEO of Plextronics, said appoval of the plan would  "have a major impact in terms of where we locate [manufacturing facilities]." Plextronics Receives Phase II Funding from USDC
The U.S. Display Consortium (USDC) has awarded Plextronics Phase II funding of a $1.8 million contract.  The USDC is an industry-let public/private partnership providing a common forum for flat panel display manufactuers and developers, FPD users and the supplier base. The contract supports the continued development of Plexcore technology to increase the lifetime and efficiency of organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays. The goal for Phase II is commercial ready solution processed HIL formulations specifically designed for SMOLED (small molecule organic light emitting diode) displays. Landslide Earns Nod from Small Business Technology Magazine Labs

Touted as "slick and powerful," Landslide received accolades in the newest issue of Small Business Technology Magazine as a Product of the Year Finalist in the Software as a Service (SaaS) Category, edging out the more well-known Salesforce.com.
