August 23, 2007

Renal Solutions has reached a technology development agreement with Innovative BioTherapies to make a wearable artificial kidney.  The process will begin with Renal Solutions' marketing of a refrigerator-size unit in the 4th quarter of this year, which the companies then will work to miniaturize. Innovative BioTherapies president, Dr. H. David Humes, expects animal testing by the end of the year, and human testing to begin in five years.
