High School PSSA Scores Increase After Carnegie Learning Implementation
B. Reed Henderson High School, in the West Chester (PA) Area School District has reported significant gains in the school's 11th grade Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) math results, following the implementation of Carnegie Learning's math curricula. Overall, math proficiency rates have increased by 14% in the district over last year's test results. In June of this year, West Chester renewed its puchase of the full suite of Carnegie Learning math programs for all high schools and the Bridge to Algebra program for its three middle schools. The $120,000 purchase for the 2007-2008 academic year included software licenses, textbooks, and ongoing Professional Development services.
