TX School District Uses Stimulus Funds for Carnegie Learning Math Program

Crystal City Independent School District, southwest Texas, used American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds to purchase Carnegie Learning Professional Development programs for teachers and Math Curricula for the five elementary, middle and high schools in the district. The district purchased six Carnegie Learning Math Content Academies for teachers in kindergarten through 8th grade, including the workshops Developing Mathematical Understanding and Developing Algebraic Thinking; for students in grade 6-12, Bridge to Algebra, Algebra I and Geometry software, print resources and collaborative classroom activities will be implemented.
