ClearCount Medical Solutions can now add the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare system to its list of customers using the SmartSponge System to help prevent retained surgical sponge incidents. Distributed exclusively by Medline, the SmartWand-DTX and the SmartSponge System use an RFID-based platform to uniquely identify each sponge so that they can be easily counted and detected.
