SmartWant-DTX Deployed in Hunt Medical Center, TX
Hunt Regional Medical Center has become the first hospital in Texas to deploy ClearCount's SmartWand-DTX, the most comprehensive technology for the prevention of retained surgical sponge incidents. The SmartWand-DTX is part of ClearCount's radio-frequency identification (RFID)-based platform that uniquely identifies each sponge so that they can be easily counted and detected. Independent Study Finds Behavior Support+BodyMedia FIT = Doubled Weight Loss Results

An independent study introduced at the 28th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Obesity Society in San Diego found that participants in the study who were attending a face-to-face group intervention program plus using BodyMedia FIT monitoring systems lost an average of 18 pounds, more than 2X those in the lifestyle intervention-only group. The study validates past research on the powerful combination of utilizing the BodyMedia technology while participating in an in-person group weight loss program. The study was independently funded by the Physical Activity and Weight Management Research Center and the Obesity and Nutrition Research Center at the University of Pittsburgh. Carnegie Learning Signs Deal with Educate Qatar
Carnegie Learning's Cognitive Tutor software and Math texbooks will be licensed by Educate Qatar, a Doha-based company specializing in education and training. Carnegie Learning Hosts National School Improvement Summit
Carnegie Learning will convene a School Improvement Summit in Washington, DC, bringing together leading education innovators and state, district and school-level educators. 23% of Americans Lost Wages Waiting for Service
The TOA Technologies' 2010 Cost of Waiting Survey found that 69% of American adults have waited for utilities, cable/satellite TV, internet, retail home deliveries and other services in the past year, and 23% of those report lost wages to the tune of about $752 annually. TOA 2010 European Cost of Waiting Survey Results are In
TOA Technologies conducted its annual Cost of Waiting Survey and Report for the first time in Germany and the United Kingdom.  The report found that 49% of Germans and 79% of Brits had waited at home for utilities, cable/satellite TV, Internet, retail home deliveries and other services in the past year, at an average annual cost of 814 Euro ($1,035) and £457.20 respectively.
