Precision Therapeutics Presents Pancreatic Cancer Studies
Precision Therapeutics will present two studies at the 2011 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) GI Symposium this week.  The lead investigator on the studies, Dr. Jan Franko, explains, "Our work supports the notion that the selection of chemotherapeutic agents may need to be based on the unique characteristics of a tumor sampled from patients. Carnegie Learning Introduces High School Math Prep
The Carnegie Learning Math Series: Courses 1-3, a new research-based core and supplemental middle school mathematics curriculum for students in grades 6-8 aims to better prepare students for high school. The Math Series is a blended learning approach that includes Carnegie Learning Math textbooks and Mathia software, fully aligned to the new Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. Carnegie Learning Helps Kentucky Schools Demonstrate AYP
According to trend data found in the 2010 Kentucky Transition Math Index, eight Kentucky districts implementing Carnegie Learning Math curricula in 2009 moved up in math percentile rankings at both the high school and middle school levels. Students in Carroll County, Corbin Independent, Harlan Independent, Henry County and Knox County schools showed improved math performance; and schools in Owsley County, KY, Owsley, OH and Union County districts demonstrated Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the first time since the insitution of No Child Left Behind.
