Godfrey-Lee Schools Receives Federal Funds for Math Instruction

Godfrey-Lee Public Schools was awarded $625,000 in federal grants to improve math skills and the culture and climate at Lee High School. Of that total, $250,000 is allocated to the math initiative portion of the transformation plan for the school, which includes utilizing Carnegie Learning math curricula. The initiative is getting uder way this week with a two-week Algebra Camp (using Carnegie Learning Cognitive Tutor software) in which more than 80 incoming ninth-graders are getting a head start for the fall term.
