John Lewis Department Stores Chooses TOA Technologies
TOA Technologies has been selected by John Lewis Department Stores as its platform to support a new appointment booking system across all its department stores. The TOA solution will initially be used across all 28 stores to provide a nationwide view of appointments; eventually it will be expanded to support online bookings and those from "at home" shops. Carnegie Learning Acquired by Apollo Group, Inc.
In a great win for the Pittsburgh entrepreneurial community, Carnegie Learning has been acquired by Apollo Group, Inc. The agreement also inlcludes the acquisition of related technology from Carnegie Mellon University in a separate transaction, bringing the total deal value to $96.5 million.  Jay Katarincic believes, "The collaboration between the private sector and Carnegie Mellon produced a world leading education company and will continue to serve as a blueprint for future successes.
